Understated is an independent coffee shop in the heart of Hinckley, Leicestershire, launched in 2024. Because we’re independent we can do things a bit differently – our menu is handpicked and tried and tested, sourced from the very best suppliers or made at home.

The setting is (not surprisingly) understated, calm, but full of personality with lots of recycled and upcycled features. We have a flexible upstairs space available for hire for events, classes and workshops, or as a co-working/hotdesking space.

Our vision is to be a place that you feel happy to sit down in for an hour with a pot of tea or a speciality coffee, and that you’ll come back to again and again. Let us know what you think.
